UniCare's Platinum Network covers the United States, giving most members access to network providers virtually everywhere. This means Platinum members can take advantage of the highest level of benefits for covered services whether they are at home, on vacation, traveling on business or away at school. Platinum members can rest assured that whether they are in Dallas or Denver, Philadelphia or Phoenix, they have access to quality network providers and the highest benefit level for covered services.

Helpful Technological Options For Large Groups

UniCare is committed to maximizing the use of technology throughout our organization. In order to provide prompt and accurate service, UniCare has created the CallCare system. CallCare allows employee service representatives (ESRs) and customer service representatives to quickly access client and member information-resulting in prompt resolution. We are also committed to using the Internet to make employers jobs easier through enrollment maintenance capabilities.

UniCare has worked to make the enrollment process as easy and efficient as possible. Through myunicareonline.com we offer a paper-free, electronic enrollment application that uses the speed and convenience only the Internet can provide. Myunicareonline.com can help employers quickly enroll, review and maintain UniCare employee benefits.

Our Internet services allow members to "serve themselves" when it comes to finding plan information and answers to benefits questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Members can log onto www.unicare.com and based on the type of coverage:

  • Check on the status of a claim or deductible
  • View their Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
  • Request a claim form or replacement ID card
  • Reference plan coverage
  • Find an independently contracted network doctor, hospital, dentist or pharmacy in our Provider Finder database
  • Access information about "healthy savings" through HealthyExtensionsSM
Member Services

UniCare claims are processed quickly and accurately in our fully-automated system. If questions arise, UniCare members can call our trained Customer Service Representatives toll-free. We continually strive to improve our performance by measuring claim turnaround time, call answer time and call abandonment rate. We also survey our members periodically on the accessibility, quality and effectiveness of the care they receive. Survey results help us continuously improve.

Multi-Site Employer Expertise For Large Groups

The staff at UniCare has years of experience serving large employers with employees scattered in different parts of the country. We even have Account Managers dedicated to managing the particular needs of large, multi-site employers.

Our nationwide network strategy ensures access in almost every state. Our customer service, network management, care management and claims processing are centralized so each employee receives the same level of quality and service no matter where they live.
